Mini Europe est un tournoi international de basket-ball U14 garçons et filles qui a été organisé pour la première fois en 1994 par Basket Esch.
A l'époque, l'objectif principal était d'organiser une compétition de basket-ball au Luxembourg avec des équipes venant de toute l'Europe.
Depuis ses débuts, le tournoi est devenu une tradition à Esch/Alzette et dans la communauté luxembourgeoise du basket-ball, et se déroule toujours le week-end précédant le lundi de Pentecôte.
Pendant 16 ans, de 1994 à 2010, seules les équipes de garçons U14 ont participé au tournoi, mais en 2011, un tournoi de filles U14 a été organisé pour la première fois et cela n'a pas changé depuis.
Après de nombreuses années de travail et d'organisation, le tournoi a enfin reçu la reconnaissance qu'il méritait.
En 2010, la FIBA Europe a officiellement reconnu le Mini Europe et lui a donné son label, en raison de son haut niveau et de son implication et de sa participation internationale !
De la première à la dernière édition du tournoi en 2026, un total de +/- 117 équipes différentes de 25 pays européens différents ont participé au Mini Europe, y compris des équipes mondialement connues et reconnues telles que Panathinaikos BC (G), Bayer Giants Leverkusen (D), SISU Copenhague (DK), BC Sparta Prague (CZ), Eintracht Frankfurt (D), SLUC Nancy (F) et bien d'autres encore !
La prochaine édition du Mini Europe se déroulera le samedi 15 et dimanche 16 mai 2027 !

Mini Europe is an international U14 boys & girls basketball tournament which was organized for the very first time in 1994 by Basket Esch.
At that time, the main objective was to organize a basketball competition in Luxembourg with teams coming from all over Europe.
Since its very beginning, the tournament has become a tradition in Esch/Alzette and in the Luxembourgish basketball community, and is always held on the weekend before the Whit Monday holiday.
For 16 years, from 1994 to 2010, only U14 boys’ teams participated in the tournament, but in 2011 a U14 girls tournament was organized for the first time and it hasn’t changed since.
After many years of hard work and organization, the tournament finally received its well-deserved recognition.
In 2010, FIBA Europe officially recognized Mini Europe and gave it its label, due to its high level and international involvement and participation !
From the first to the last edition of the tournament in 2025, a total of +/- 117 different teams from 25 different European countries took part in Mini Europe, including world famous and well-known teams such as Panathinaikos BC (GR), Bayer Giants Leverkusen (D), SISU Copenhagen (DK), BC Sparta Praha (CZ), Eintracht Frankfurt (D), SLUC Nancy (F) and many more !
The next edition of Mini Europe will take place on Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th May 2027 !

Mini Europe ist ein internationales U14-Basketballturnier für Jungen und Mädchen, das 1994 zum ersten Mal von Basket Esch organisiert wurde.
Damals war das Hauptziel, ein Basketballturnier in Luxemburg mit Mannschaften aus ganz Europa zu organisieren.
Seitdem ist das Turnier, das immer am Wochenende vor dem Pfingstmontag stattfindet, zu einer Tradition in Esch/Alzette und in der luxemburgischen Basketballcommunity geworden.
16 Jahre lang, von 1994 bis 2010, nahmen nur U14-Jungenmannschaften an dem Turnier teil, aber 2011 wurde zum ersten Mal ein U14-Mädchenturnier organisiert und daran hat sich seither nichts geändert.
Nach vielen Jahren harter Arbeit und Organisation erhielt das Turnier endlich seine wohlverdiente Anerkennung.
In 2010 hat die FIBA Europe Mini Europe offiziell anerkannt und ihm aufgrund des hohen Niveaus und der internationalen Beteiligung sein Label verliehen !
Von der ersten bis zur letzten Ausgabe des Turniers in 2025 nahmen insgesamt +/- 117 verschiedene Mannschaften aus 25 verschiedenen europäischen Ländern am Mini Europe teil, darunter weltberühmte und bekannte Mannschaften wie Panathinaikos BC (G), Bayer Giants Leverkusen (D), SISU Kopenhagen (DK), BC Sparta Praha (CZ), Eintracht Frankfurt (D), SLUC Nancy (F) und viele mehr !
Die nächste Ausgabe des Mini Europe findet am Samstag, 15. und Sonntag, 16. Mai 2027 statt !
